RahXephon: More Than Just an Evangelion Clone
I hate to start off with something like this; but being a very big fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion… I can’t overlook the fact that this show had a lot, and by a lot, I mean seriously a lot of scenes and moments gave a very very definite vibe of the 1995 classic which I regard as one of the best ever. :eyes:
Better Than Eva?
Now I can go on and on, on a point by point basis to prove my stance of this being, dare I say, a rip off of Eva; but I would try to set that aside for now…
Now, moving on to the plot… It can be termed good, and tracingly excellent, if I move out Eva from my mind that is, which I most definitely can’t. Maybe it would have be more enjoyable if one hadn’t watched Evangelion, but then again… I doubt any lover of anime wouldn’t watch Eva.
I felt the series had this harem touch which was downright annoying. Every other girl has something for him, it was very out of place.
I am a bit cynical of this show because of the very blatant vibe of Evangelion that you get every now and then. So I think it would go down as an average to a bit above average show in my books.
