Unbearable Tension

The plot is really good. There is tenseness and intensity in the show all throughout. Rarely you find anime that will give you such a strong intense feeling continuously throughout the 74 episodes. The plot gets better, more defined, arcs get related… It’s very complex, deep and touching.

Psychological Warfare

To be honest, it’s a slow mindfuck, made my brain turn… I couldn’t marathon this series like other series. But the time I watched the show, it was in my mind most of the time. It got more and more complicated with each and every episode, and at other times, especially during the later part, things begin to click… the puzzle pieces fit together.

The Monster Inside Us

The characters are really good. One of the strongest parts of the series would be character development. Especially Tenma. And Johan Liebert… charismatic.

It’s not something everyone would like though, especially because of the slow pace and length. That said, if one is a suspense and mystery fan, they really shouldn’t miss out on this. Monster is addictive.
