Stupidly entertaining and excessively addictive! A shoujo fantasy that was really enjoyable even to me who isn’t a fan of shoujo at all. :eyes:

Controlled Chaos?

Now this is one of those odd shows that sounds stupid, seems stupid and has a lot of pretentious bullshit and still wins over the viewers because the addiction to watch the next episode is too damn high…

The story is addictive as heck! Oh my… how insane and hilarious, those twists and turns, things going haywire… How much of it actually makes sense to the wholesome plot? Well, I don’t really have a clue. I still don’t have a clear cut idea about what exactly is that Penguindrum.

Penguins and Destiny

Now about the Fate, and symbolism and all the intricacies that the show put forward. I believe it was just a gimmick. Nope, nothing “deep” and “complex” at all… The script seemed like a festival of these gimmicks.

Overall, hands down… awesome entertainment. Kept me addicted all throughout. Some might say this and that theory, deconstruction of whatnot… I firmly believe all of that symbolism, and every thing was just a gimmick. But a fun one!
