Another anime on a light novel by Type-Moon/Nasu… This one is seriously epic. It’s awesome and will just make you feel… “Oh yeah, This is better than Fate/Stay!!!” :eyes:

Darker and More Intense

I would say Fate/Zero is a bit more dark, more intense, and attention-capturing than Fate/Stay. It is more attuned to another one of my Nasuverse favorites, Kara no Kyoukai.

There is a lot of things that go on behind the battles fought unlike Fate/Stay. Lots of intelligence and planning are set into motion. It’s not a mere eye-treat action anime. Moreover, it’s not only about the servants, or only about masters. In fact, it’s quite equally balanced between the servants’ plight and the masters’ circumstances.

The Characters

The characters are exquisite!! Seriously, there is so much conflict and the plot design just suits this. Kiritsugu, Kirei… Saber, Gilgamesh, Kariya… and Iskander!! I can name all actually.

The “banquet” of the three Kings was so damn awesome!!!! Especially Rider admonishing Saber. That part where all three “sit, drink and chat”… Oh yeah. Kind of gives Fate/Zero a regal dimension.

A very strong plot full of twists and developments, excellent characters with moving pasts, drama and dilemma, pain, regret, love, anguish… JUST LOVED IT!!!

(Also, Rider’s Noble Phantasm “Ionian Hetairoi”!! was a sight to behold. Gave me the goosebumps!!!)
