(1.11 + 2.22 + 3.33) Good. It’s an alternate retelling of Neon Genesis Evangelion series. Hideki Anno says Rebuild is how he wanted Eva to be created not restricted by technology or budget issues. :eyes:

The Difference

That being said, Rebuild is more action-oriented than NGE(+EoE). Visually it’s far more pleasing to the eye than the Eva series but it does lack a bit in comparison to its parent series. Eva had much more character development, focus on the psychological issues of the characters… and in that respect Rebuild doesn’t match up.

The Verdict

Though Hideki claims this is how he wanted to be, NGE is somewhat more impactful than Rebuild. Rebuild has its fair share of high points. And it’s quite good even. Must watch after NGE/EoE.
