Code Geass: Strategic Genius or Narrative Chaos?

It was good. A series that mixed mecha with some unreal strategy. :eyes:

The “Strategy”

Next I would bring into focus the so-called “strategy” part of the anime. To be honest, on the surface it looks quite good, with the whole “Oh my, what a great strategy”… but I would be outright and say it was all superficial, and almost a trickery.

They made the viewer seem they were doing all strategic stuff while deep brain-wrecking, whereas in reality it wasn’t so at all. There were all grandiose and glorious mech battles and Zero would have a seemingly good strategy in place, but in fact whatever the strategy was it was just a fluid sense of words.

Suzaku

Suzaku is one character that annoyed me the most, yet I would say his was good. It was frustrating every time. I admit it added to the potential depth and development of the plot & the series as a whole.. but, nevertheless it was annoying.

The greatest weakness of this show is the over-the-top flair and unrealism. If one suspends all disbelief and lays back just to take everything at face value, it would seem really good and entertaining.
